Short Breaks

A special time just for your child

One-to-one time with a support worker, all year round, and holiday days in the school holidays. Your child does the things they enjoy most, and you get time for yourself.

“Hi there!”

Welcome to Short Breaks! A special time just for you!

When you come to Short Breaks, you’ll spend time with your support worker. They’re here to help you have fun, feel safe, and do the things you enjoy most.

Sometimes your support worker might:

  • Pick you up and take you out for fun trips
  • Help you with arts and crafts
  • Play games with you
  • Go for walks or explore new places
  • Or stay at home with you, if that’s what you prefer

Every Short Break is different, because it’s all about what makes you happy!

We can’t wait to spend time with you and make great memories together!

How Short Breaks start

Short Breaks are planned around your child, so they start with a conversation rather than a booking.

  1. Tell us about your child

A short enquiry form about your child and their needs.

  2. We meet you

An assessment with you and your child, to understand what they enjoy and need.

  3. We match a support worker

Someone who suits your child, and who your child gets to know.

  4. Short Breaks begin

    At times agreed with you.

Takes about five minutes. Nothing to pay at this stage.

Holiday days

In the school holidays, Short Breaks also run as holiday days: fun, person-centred activities for children and young people aged 5 to 17, made to suit each child’s needs.
