Who we are
We are Young People’s Empowerment Project CIC (YPEP), a community interest company. Our office is at Churchill House, 29 Mill Hill Road, Pontefract WF8 4HY.
We are the data controller for the information we collect. That means we decide how it’s used, and we’re responsible for looking after it.

This website
This website has no forms, and it doesn’t ask for your personal information.
- No tracking. We don’t use analytics or advertising trackers.
- Server logs. Our website host keeps logs of visits, including IP addresses, to keep the site secure.
- Calm mode. If you switch calm mode on, it’s remembered in your web browser only. It’s never sent to us.
- The map. The map on our Contact page comes from OpenStreetMap. When the map loads, OpenStreetMap receives your IP address. Read the OpenStreetMap Foundation’s privacy policy.
- Fonts. Our fonts are hosted by us, not by Google.

Forms, bookings, referrals and job applications
These all happen on our secure app at app.ypep.co.uk, never on this website.
What we collect depends on the form. For example, we ask about a child’s needs when you book PlayScheme, about health when you ask for home care, and about your work history when you apply for a job.
Health information is special category data. We only use it to provide care and support.
- Where it’s kept. The app stores your information in the EU.
- Card payments. Card payments are taken by Stripe. We never see your card number.
Who we share it with
We only share your information when we need to:
- Care teams. The council or NHS teams involved in someone’s care.
- Safeguarding. The council or the police, when we must share it to keep someone safe.
- CQC. The Care Quality Commission, which regulates our home care.
- Our suppliers. The companies that run our systems for us: Stripe for payments, and Cloudflare for the app.
We never sell your information.
How long we keep it
How long we keep information depends on what it is.
Your rights
It’s your information. You have the right to:
- See the information we hold about you. We reply within one month.
- Correct it if it’s wrong.
- Ask us to delete it.
- Object to, or restrict, how we use it.
- Move it to another organisation.
Some of these rights only apply in certain situations.

Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve used your information, please tell us first, so we can put it right.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator: make a complaint to the ICO.
