About YPEP

Safeguarding

How we keep children, young people and adults safe, and who to tell if you’re worried about someone.

To tell us about a concern, call and ask for the safeguarding lead.

What happens when you tell us

  1. We listen

We listen, and write down what you tell us.

  2. Our safeguarding lead decides what to do

    They decide what happens next.

  3. We share it when we must

We share information with the council or the police when we must, to keep someone safe.

How we keep people safe

  • Every staff member has an enhanced DBS check
  • Safer recruitment: we check the right to work and take references before anyone starts
  • Safeguarding training for every member of staff
  • Children are only signed out to adults named on their profile
  • A named safeguarding lead
  • A whistleblowing policy, so staff can raise concerns
  • Personal details are kept in our secure app, never on this website
